Prairie Yard & Garden is a 30-minute television show about gardening in the Upper Midwest. Each season, PY&G travels the state to meet with researchers, gardening and nursery professionals, educators and ordinary backyard gardeners to discuss specific issues in horticulture, landscaping and a host of topics in gardening.
Television Hostess, Mary Holm, interviews Shakespeare Garden board members at the garden. The story of how Shakespeare ended up in South Dakota all began with a group of passionate gardeners who wanted to create a beautiful outdoor space that celebrated the works of the famous playwright. Along with the interesting history of Shakespeare Garden in Wessington Springs the show is interspersed with expert's tips and knowledge of native plants and perennials. Shakespeare Garden will be featured on Pioneer Public Broadcasting program "Prairie Yard & Garden. Each season, PY&G travels the state to meet with people to discuss specific issues in horticulture, landscaping and a host of topics in gardening.
Avid fan of both Shakespeare Garden and Prairie Yard & Garden, Brenda Fagerhaug sent her suggestion to the program's producers. To her delight a crew showed up with cameras and equipment and the beloved host, Mary Holm. Brenda met them along with members of the Shakespeare Garden Board to be interviewed for a feature spot to be aired later this year. Shakespeare Garden Society has blank note cards available to purchase.
These notecards are blank inside with a wonderful Winter scene photo of the Anne Hathaway Cottage in Wessington Springs. Cards are $2.00 each and individually cellophane wrapped.
